Week 15

Sorry I'm a little late posting this 15th week. It is getting tougher for me writing on the weeks now, because I feel like not much is happening in between the weeks now.
My what to expect app tells me it is the size of a Navel orange!
I am starting to feel the little one move around alot more for sure.
I am definitely starting to look more pregnant.
I guess more TMI things happening

ok, some things are happening that i was unaware of happening, especially earlier pregnancy things. and turns out, it is all normal and happens to almost every preggers. so this booger like subtance almost like a neon yellow/green like when you have a sinus infection. yeah that stuff coming off of you when you wipe. weird. and also, it is getting colder now, being the beginning of november 2012 my skin is getting dry. well i notice this almost crust on my nipples! at first i thought i had really dry nipples, well i looked it up and apparently it is SUPER normal for little bit of leaking, like to small to really notice and not to wet your clothes but it will crust and you can just peel it off like a scab or leave it til it falls off?! apparently it is your boobies preparing for the milk. almost opening of more holes in your nipples preparing you for breast feeding.

So Also I started on parenting classes. A clinic in Rockford, IL offers free parenting basic classes, and if you take all 6 classes (show up and stay) you get a free carseat. which is awesome. Me and my husband have been starting to struggle with finances which has been starting to stress me out alot. I wanted to take as many classes as I can but then a free carseat after taking these classes. It has been a blessing, with the carseat, my brother in law is giving us there now almost 4 year old sons crib (apparently the cadillac of cribs) my husbands sister has her changing table from her daughter. We just need to get mattresses for them. And another sister in law has giving me some maternity tops and dresses. I still desperately need some maternity pants cuz im starting to get tight on the jeggings. i do have a belly band and that will last me a little longer. Im going to be hitting up the thrift stores for maternity pants again (first time i tried they were all to big in size)

And look at that, i didnt think i had much to write about this week.

Week 14

14 Weeks.
What to expect says I have a baby the size of a lemon now. I am feeling about the same. I actually feel a little less pregnant.... minus the fact that I am starting to show.

Had a little scare this week. I work at Hobby Lobby, we open at 9am. I got there at 745 one morning, because a bunch of us got there early to finish opening up our order that came in late the day before. well at about 8:05 I started to get some cramping. It progressively got worse. Now this is my first pregnancy, I have read on a bunch of stuff and have bunch of friends with kids, and my sister who has 3 kids. So I knew mild cramping is normal, especially with your first pregnancy. Or the AWFUL gas cramps super common in pregnancy. I am thinking they are just gas cramps, but getting so bad, i needed to walk away. I started feeling a little better and went back to the back of the store to continue opening. Well the cramps came back where I could barely even stand up straight, so I walked away again. OK now (WARNING T.M.I AHEAD) So i went back to the bathroom and when I wiped there was an icky pink substance. So now I'm thinking more of, this is my first pregnancy, having really bad cramps, and now I'm spotting!! so it is like 830am and I go back to the breakroom to text my husband and drink some water, and my manager walks in and makes a rude comment (cuz she's a big 'B') You're already taking a break?! and I started crying a little bit and told her what was going on so she told me to call my dr. I call the doctor and someone else in the office helped me but when i told her what was going on, she said the doctor would call me back. so that was 840ish
so 1030 rolls around I get a call back, my dr.
she asked again symptoms
I told her
she said "can you leave work?"
i say yes (getting quite nervous)
pause...... "Can you be here at 11"
(thinking it will take me about 20 min to get there)
Yeah, I can

Now I'm very nervous, but they just were precautionary..... is that a word? lol. ok, not much more details get to the point.. I got there, waited, did a couple tests, they didnt find anything, they listened to the heartbeat that was there and normal. so since they couldnt find anything wrong. It is 12:40 now, they send me to the hospital, check in at outpatient, drink 3 12oz glasses of water before 1:15 check in. I cry to my husband, called his mother cuz he is at work and she met me at the hospital. Had to do a FULL BLADDER ultra sound where they didnt show me the screen, and had to be there alone. the ultrasound lady said she couldnt tell me anything because she was not certified. so once the ultra sound was done, the radiologist had to check it, t hen call my dr. then my dr. would call the hospital where i would go into a consulting room and take the call from my dr. to tell me the results. LAME. well all that waiting about 3:20 finally got the call. Guess what, NOTHING WAS WRONG! I am thankful nothing is wrong, and I'm thankful they went to full lengths to find out if anything was wrong. but that was alot of nerves wracking and waiting and being scared.

Why that happened you ask? well they think it could have been either the baby clinging on to my uteran wall, if i had sex within 48 hours (very sensitive cervix) or if i was doing heavy lifting..


wow, long story, sorry. but that has been the highlight of the week. I have been feeling the baby move a little bit more. mostly flutters. its cute. of course everyone ruins it by like just wait til you are THIS far along and the baby kicks your ribs and stomps your bladder. i just say well its not yet, and these are the first times im feeling it and it makes me smile.
I REALLY NEED SOME MATERNITY PANTS SOON!!!

Week 13

I am a few days late with posting 13 week update.
So I had a Dr. appointment on the day I turned 13 weeks. I was very happy because my husband Andrew works alot, but ended up getting off and being able to come with me. I wasnt to worried about it because it wasnt that big of an appointment. I get more worried about him being there for ultrasounds and whatnots. Although I love it if he is able to join me when I can. ANYHOO... we got sent back into the dr. room and we were waiting for quite a long time it seemed. I almost fell asleep while waiting (that tired symptom is still on my back) Well we waited so long, i had to pee again! so I decided I needed to go use the bathroom in case she came in and started pressing on my bladder. So i leave the room and the dr said oh, i was just about to come in there and I said, I'm so sorry i just have to pee. So then after I did that, she ended up going in another patient. so we had to wait even longer. Well it all paid off because she came in our room with one of those portable ultra sound machines and she said, You guys waited so long, and I love babies when they are that small, so how would you like a surprise ultra sound just for fun! I was so excited. My last ultra sound was on 9 weeks, and my next one isn't scheduled til 20 weeks (to find out the sex) so to have one at 13 weeks was so awesome. It looked more like a baby, and he or she was moving all around, arching the back and stretching out. It was awesome. I was giggling and being giddy and Andy was just staring at it, hand on his mouth. I think it just came SUPER real to him.

Still not able to agree on names. I think it will be a while still. Here is baby at 13 weeks :)

Week 12

12 weeks already.... that is crazy. so the last couple weeks my dreams haven't been much of crazy but then this week came about and WHEW! Not only crazy dreams, but almost like when I normally dream, if it is a bad dream, I will normally wake up from it when it gets too bad. Now it seems as if i keep playing out the dream til its done. Like the other night, I won't get to into it but it was long and detailed. well a small part of it was a dog was about to attack me and i got out of the room in time, well a bystander handed me a big kitchen knife, I go back into the room and the dog came to attack me and i brutally murdered it! I looove dogs! so this was heart wrenching, and I stayed in this dream even after i killed it!
The next night i was dreaming i became friends with a boy who happened to be a terrorist, and when the government was looking for him i didnt tell them anything. I was on a train, and it started going faster and faster like something was wrong and I jump off and get all kinds of road rash and break my arm and shortly after the train derails and i watch this happen. It is just crazy stuff!

Other than the dreams, I am starting to show a little bit which is exciting, but i have not had to many syptoms. This is late in my 12th week, and have a 13 week dr. appt. so i will let you all know when that happens.

Week 11

Week 11.

Wow, this week I sure felt like my belly started poking out. although some may say it looks like I have had one too many nachos. lol. I definitely see it and it is there all the time, not just when i feel bloated or full! which super excites me.

Also this week, one of my best friends got married. High School it was always Amanda(me) Sunshine and Amber. Well Amber got married, and of course me and sunshine were in the wedding. Now Sunny is about 10 weeks ahead of me (also pregnant) and she is SUPER SHOWING!!! well she should be if im 11 weeks she is 21 weeks, that is like half your pregnancy. but we were both in the wedding along with one other girl and it was funny cuz the line up was Sunshine (21 weeks prego and obviously pregnant belly) then me (11 weeks prego, and if you know im pregnant you can tell, if not it just looks like i got me a pooch) and then a girl stephanie who is not pregnant.

But this was a week i really kind of wanted to drink. all of us being in the limo from wedding to reception popping a bottle of champaigne. im like aww man, i would love to toast with you. but it was all good, I got over it real quick. needless to say it was a beautiful fall wedding. :)

My app tells me that my baby is the size of a large plum :) OMG also i was slouching on my couch watching t.v (still not much motivation to do any cleaning) and i was sitting still and I felt the baby move!!! it wasnt a kick (not this early!) But it was as if the baby did a summer sault and i just felt a slight movement in my belly. I knew this wasnt gas either! even though gas is common, i have had enough gas to know what gas feels like. lol.

The waking up in the middle of the night EVERY night has subsided a little bit. I will still do it every now and then but its not clock work every night.
My friends Sunny and Amber believe we are having a boy considering my symptoms were really bad in the beginning but really have not been bad at all the last FEW weeks. it was almost like at 8 weeks bad symptoms subsided. and Sunny, who is having a girl, was SUPER SICK all the way up til the 12th week. I think those 2 girls are the only ones thinking im having a boy. Andrew (my husband) is VERY happy they still have hope. I dont know if it was so long of thinking im having a girl, i almost want a girl now. haha. again though, I honestly will be 100% happy if it is a boy or a girl. i just want me to have a healthy baby.

Week 10

Week 10 now. I am finishing up my week 10 and i had so much to say during week 9 that week 10 didn't seem that important. I have had one craving this whole week and I believe it is my weakness craving!

Nachos! nachos nachos nachos! There is a gas station right down the street that sells nachos for $1.75. like booster club style. yum.

Every week before the pregnancy on tuesdays i would go to my favorite bar and do karaoke. well all the regulars know I am pregnant. And not to mention my best friend Sunshine is pregnant too. we have been best friends since we were in 7th grade and she is about 10 weeks ahead of me. we would go karaoking together every tuesday. She has been more secretive about her pregnancy than I have. Well this week she found out the sex! Its a Girl!!! which she and her fiance' wanted! Anyways, I go out every now and then but definitely not like i used to and only drink water when I go lol. Well me and Sunshine decided to play darts and I had played the best game i have ever played and i took a picture of the winning screen and sent it to facebook and i typed in "Best game of nachos i have ever played." lol i saw this before i sent it but thought it was to funny to delete so i ended it "Best game of nachos i have ever played.... i mean darts..... man i want some nachos"

So I am thinking I will have a girl as well. Both me and my husband want a boy, so were still hoping but I am getting the feeling of the girl. But you know the saying of as long as its a healthy baby, i will be happy.

On the other hand, I know its only 10 weeks but i am getting this feeling we will NEVER agree on a name. He reads alot of fantasy books, and has a lord of the rings obsession (which i am totally fine with) but when it comes to name picking aomer, gladrial, and arwen dont suit me at all. But then again he doesnt love my names i pick. He said some were O.K, but not loving them.

What to expect when you're expecting app. tells me that the baby is the size of a lime!!

I have gained about 2 pounds. that is it. and i cant wait to start showing. when i am bloated or full. i look pregnant. that is it.

oh and my only symptoms this week has been tired, waking up in the middle of the night to pee, and the same emotional

Week 9

It is week 9 in my pregnancy. I had my first ultra sound 9-25-12. It was quick, we saw the little one.

 

He or she is so little, you can see the little arms and legs. Almost looks like a hamster! My what to expect when your expecting app told me its only the size of an olive, turning into the size of a prune this week. It seems to be going by pretty fast already. thinking im 9 weeks. I cant wait to start showing. i have always wanted a baby bump! Its funny because when I get full, or just bloated, i look like i have a baby bump. Its like it has nowhere to go except for out.

During the ultra sound we also heard the heartbeat. A very strong heartbeat it was at 170bpm. Also, after the ultra sound i had a check up with my dr. to have my lab results back and she was looking at the ultrasound, and the size and what nots. She said "Wow, you are only 9 weeks? You got a good size baby for only 9 weeks" The ultra sound lady also said everything looks perfect so far.

 

I had my first weird craving last week (at 8 weeks) I was making myself a baked potato for lunch and all of a sudden i got this craving to put cinnamon sugar on it. weird. I didnt end up putting it on, but i was sure thinking about it. Then just yesterday (at 9 weeks) I was eating cheetos puffs and saw a jar of peanut butter and i really wanted to dip my cheetos in the peanut butter. Again I did not induldge but the thought was there. I am wondering if the further i get along if the cravings become more unbearable that I will NEED IT. Lol we will see.

 

Now I have heard about having vivid weird dreams while pregnant (I already had vivid weird dreams since i was little, so i didnt think that would be effected) but this week it has sure hit.

One dream was about high class prosititutes that cost $50,000 a night that all lived in a house, and a man fell in love with one, and she fell in love back. and he found out they were kept there in chains when they werent being used. then all of a sudden i was in the body of the girl and andy was in the body of the man and he was trying to plan the escape of his love and the rest of the girls. We had to go through chest deep water still in chains, and i remember walking over bodies. ew. and we exited around my dads house by the pool and andy was helping all the girls out then chopping down trees. and my uncle paul came out and helped him chop down the trees and setting them on fire to block the exit. yeah that was strange.

 

another dream. it was me, but i was a man, and i had a bunch of antiques that i had collected over the years and i wanted to open my own shop. so i found an open spot in downtown rockford that happened to be on the third floor. i opened my own store selling snakes, butterflies and antiques. but i only filled up half the store. so i went to the second floor of the building where i found another man opening up an antique store selling snakes. so i told him to join stores with me and we had an antique store also selling snakes and butterflies.

 

And last night i dreamt i was driving to chicago in a jeep and then all of a sudden ALL the traffic stopped and a big loud noise said. traffic will be stopped for about an hour due to them filming kung fu panda 3 (which i didnt think in my dream that it was animated lol) so i made a sharp turn (and in this dream i am really pregnant, big belly everything.) and i found an open road, i then started going over this HUGE bridge (like the size of the san fransisco bridge, but still in chicago) well then the car breaks down. i get out of the car and the bridge shook and the jeep was halfway hanging off the bridge. Then i started going into labor and andy comes running towards me and picks me up and starts running cuz i dont want to give birth on a bridge. and he ran me all the way to the hospital.

 

The really weird thing about that last dream is i was talking to andy this morning and i was asking him how his day was going and he said good but his arms were really sore, like his biceps up to his shoulders and i said was it because you carried a pregnant woman across a huge bridge in chicago all the way to the hospital. he laughed and was like WHAT?! lol it was pretty funny.

 

So far that is my week 9. I'll let you know if anything else happens.
